Well, dear readers, let me introduce you to 'Ebony, the bitch of all woods'. For starters it doesn't even feel like wood and when you eventually cut it, it doesn't look like wood either. A piece of heavy metal maybe, but not wood. It also has the densest particles when you do anything to it. When your friendly instructor suggests a face mask while working this stuff then put at least one on, maybe even four. So after taking 20 minutes to saw through an already cut piece you are then required to sand the thing for hours to give it a gentle curve. There must be a machine for this.
