Innovation Investment Fund Programs

Call for applications and invitation to industry information sessions

The Australian Government is seeking applications from potential managers for tranche two of the third round of the Innovation Investment Fund program and is running a series of information sessions for potential applicants.

The Australian Government’s Innovation Investment Fund promotes the commercialisation of Australia’s research, through the establishment of new fund managers to provide equity finance to small, early stage Australian companies.

In this tranche, the Government will license up to two private sector fund managers. The Government will provide up to $20m in capital to each fund, which will run for ten years. As a minimum, the Government’s contribution must be matched one to one with privately sourced capital.

The industry information briefings will discuss:

  • how to apply for an Innovation Investment Fund licence
  • the eligibility and merit criteria for applications
  • how applications will be assessed.

To assist potential applicants information sessions will be held on:
