AusIndustry invites established and potential venture
capital fund managers, their advisers and consultants to
industry briefings about the Early Stage Venture
Capital Limited Partnerships for both fund managers
and investors.
Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnerships
aims to:
- stimulate Australia's venture capital sector
- foster a world class structure for venture
capital funds to fund managers
- generate national benefit for the Australian
economy.
The industry briefings will include discussion on:
- how to apply for an Early Stage Venture
Capital Limited Partnership
- the eligibility and evaluation criteria for
applications
- how applications are assessed.
Early Stage Venture Capital Partnerships is
aimed at stimulating Australia's early stage venture
capital sector and makes available a world class venture
capital vehicle to both fund managers and investors.
Venture capital funds registered under the Early
Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnerships program
receive flow through tax treatment and investors have no
tax liability on income or capital gains they receive
from an Early Stage Venture Capital Limited
Partnerships.
Managers considering raising a fund of between $10
million and $100 million to make early stage investment
in small Australian businesses may be eligible to
register their fund as an Early Stage Venture Capital
Limited Partnership.
