Week 3 - Or 'how to make a guitar with a busload of visitors every 20 minutes'.
This weeks course took a strange turn. Monstelvat had a wine and food festival which entailed turning our normally peaceful back yard into a bar. Gone was the rustic charms of the 85 year old tractor and those bits of wood, wire and old boots that we have come to love. Chris has promised us a bar and he came through in spades. A large Hurrah to Chris.
Anyway back to the guitar. Started off the day with a bit of sanding. This is Chris's equivalent to an athletes warm up. 'Come on lad, a bit of sanding won't kill you'.
I then moved on to the main event of the morning and did a bit of rooting. Sorry that should have read routing. It went remarkably well considering. Have now got a lovely insert in the tail piece of the guitar. I am informed that it is Jarah surrounded by Huon Pine. Greeny note: No Huon Pine tree was harmed in this process.
